If you participate in this Oita prefecture event
There are many cheap hotels around Oita station.
I searched now and it seems that the hotel here is the cheapest.

It is still possible for you to reserve on March 2, 2019.
It seems cheap here.

However, I think Oita station is a bit far from the venue so you need to leave early in the morning.
The start of the full marathon starts at 10:00.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask me.
I wish you a wonderful event for you.
