In Sasayama where this marathon contest is held, the Japanese 6th old kiln such as Tamba yaki was selected as the Japanese heritage in FY2004.
As for Sasayama City, it is the second certification following “Tanba Shinoyama Decanation Section” in FY2005 Japanese Heritage Certification.
