The 7th Sansupo Furukawa Hanamomo marathon ( March 10, 2019 )

Dscription :

It is a competition to be held in early spring March of Furukawa-shi, Ibaraki prefecture when the flower of the city · Hanamomo blooms.

The nearest JR Furukawa station is the fastest from Shinjuku in 57 minutes and the fastest access from Tokyo is 62 minutes.
On the day of the tournament, a private shuttle bus will also be operated from the station to the main venue.

In addition to full events, there are 10 km and 3 k junior high school students, and elementary family pair 2 km.
The full marathon course starts Furukawa-shi central sports park and finishes to the track and field stadium 400 m track in the park around the city.
As the maximum height difference is within 10 m and there is almost no up / down, it is flat and there is a long straight section in east west, north and south, you can expect a good time.

Because the time limit is relatively long, 6 hours 40 minutes, it is perfect for runners aiming for the first full marathon race.

In addition, the full “Koga City Hometown Tax Frame” which is popular every year is also set up this year.

The 32nd Okanosato Meisui Marathon Tournament ( March 3, 2019 )

Overview :

A marathon run along the Kamihara Valley, originating from the spring water chosen as Japan’s 100 best water names and the Sobo mountain registered in the UNESCO Eco Park.

Three kinds of full marathon, half marathon, 10 km are done.

Start & finish is Takeda City general athletic park.
Run along the Uozumi dam lake and go to the prefectural highway No. 8 and run along the mountainous Ogata River.

There are two turnaround points and it is somewhat irregular, but it is a round-trip course that goes up along the river towards the source and returns.

There is a height difference of about 200 m, a long climb continues from the first half to the middle stage, the latter half is descending.

It is quite a tough course, but if you drink the famous water that springs from everywhere, including the Takeda Meishi group, also called Kyushu Ichi, you should get power.

For Aid, Kabosu juice specialized in Oita and tasty rice balls are also prepared, and hot cheers from local people boost runners.

After the goal there are hospitality such as broiled soup made with famous water, cooked rice, fresh fruits etc will be served.

The tiredness after completion is healed.
